Cover Reveal: Shadows and Obsidian - New Covers

So Obsidian is being re-released in a new edition with a new cover. The Shadows cover has been re-done to match this and I have spoken to Jennifer and she has told me the Onyx cover will be changed to match these ones.
When I first saw the new Obsidian cover I wasn't sure what I thought as I loved the original cover. But now the more I look at it the more I fall in love with it.

I love them. I think Obsidian seems more serious and I love the background. How there's lightning there. Plus, focussing on the guy helps me love it too. He is afterall very yummy ;)

Shadows will be released February 21st and will be available in eBook

Obsidian will be re-released April 10th and there will be never before seen Daemon POVs.

Onyx will be given a new cover to match these beautiful new covers, to be released May 15th

So I am supposed to be on a book buying ban to save up for my post-graduation holiday to Paris but it will definitely be getting broken to get these. Jennifer is without a doubt my favourite author and considering she only has 3 books (Daimon, Half-Blood and Obsidian) out her writing has really touched me and I adore her books. I won't be able to wait for the new edition of Obsidian, I need those Daemon scenes.

So what do you guys think?

So you wanna know what it's about right?

Well I can also share with you the blurb.

An unmarried woman living in a house of men breeds hearsay and lore. If only the villagers knew the truth.

It’s not Jem Stonehouse’s marital status that brings unwanted strangers to town. Rather, it’s that she is the only female werewolf in existence — a prize to any pack.

Sean Holloway, the love of Jem’s life, has gone to great lengths to protect her. As a new attack becomes imminent, Sean realizes he must take greater measures with Jem’s safety or risk losing her forever.

His first task must be to marry her, but a force greater than the largest werewolf stands in his way.

Her mother.

Devastated by the loss of his mother, Chase is trying to balance the life he’s been left with, a family he’s still getting to know, and power he never thought he’d have. He doesn’t understand why the Goddess has named him the Protector and granted him two gifts: the Mark, a tattoo that now covers his back, and the ring. But between getting interrogated by the Circle and psychic attacks from Riley, the Mark is the least of his concern. There’s a demon inside Rayna that’s fighting to be released, and it’s not her inner witch. It’s something else–a monster threatening to tear her apart.

As Chase struggles to control his magic, his enemies are closing in. Everyone has staked a claim on his ring, and destroying it may be his only chance to stop Riley. But Chase must decide if stopping him is worth risking the lives of everyone he cares about, or if protecting the ring will be enough to save his world.

Cover Reveal: UK Divergent & Insurgent

When I checked my email this evening I had one from Harper Collins UK with the UK cover reveal of the new Divergent and Insurgent.

So first the new UK Cover for Divergent:

When I first saw this cover I thought, I don't like it as much as the original cover. It doesn't really fit the story. Divergent doesn't really scream PINK at me but the more I look at it the more I like it. I love the three birds, that fits amazingly well for the storyline and I like that the buildings in the background are the same as on the original cover. Now I really like it and I definitely want to get these new covers, they are super pretty.

So you're wondering what does the Insurgent cover look like, right?
Well I'll tell you, or rather show you...

*drumroll please*

Do you love it? I love it! It's beautiful. Come one, it's my favourite color and I just think it's stunning. I still think the original cover fit better with the storyline but I love these covers, they are beautiful and I will totally be getting these to have on my shelf :)

Isn't it pretty? This is such an awesome cover. It completely matches the cover of the first one, and I love who is portraying Dez on this cover. It's exactly how I pictured her. You have no idea how excited I am for this book. It is going to be so damn awesome.

Okay, okay so you wanna know what the book is about right?
Well wait no longer, here's the blurb:

When a Six saved Kale’s life the night of Sumrun, she warned there would be consequences. A trade-off. Something taken for the life they gained. But Dez never imagined she’d lose the one thing she’d give anything to keep… And as if it’s not enough Dez finds her immunity to Kale fading, the Six brought in to help Kale learn to control his killer touch starts drooling on him the moment they meet. Worse than that? Jade can touch Kale. But bimbo Barbie is the least of Dez's problems.

After Dez and Kale got away at Sumrun, her father lost not only his most powerful weapon but an important piece of the Supremacy project. Forced by Denazen to remedy the situation, he poisons Dez and offers her a choice—surrender to Denazen for the cure…or die. Determined to find a solution that doesn’t involve being bagged and tagged—or losing someone she loves—Dez keeps the poison a secret.  But when a rash of Denazen attacks hit a little too close to home, Dez is convinced there’s a traitor among them. Jade.

Sacrifices, broken promises, and secrets. Dez will have to lay it all on the line if there’s any hope of proving Jade’s guilt before they all end up Residents of Denazen. Or worse, dead...

I love taking part in cover reveals so naturally I said yes and OMG guys, this book sounds like a MUST-READ for 2012.

The book is called Chosen Ones and is the first in a planned series called The Lost Souls. I know, I know you know about that from the title right? You are thinking where's the cover?
Well I have a treat for you as not only will I be showing you the cover, which is stunning but also the blurb.

*Drumroll Please*

What do you think?

My first thoughts were WOW! It's stunning right?!?!?! I absolutely love this cover and I Need to get this to put my shelf.

So are you ready to find out what the books about?

Be ready for some pure awesomeness.

What if you were mankind’s last chance at survival?

Sixteen-year-old Tess lives in a compound in what was once the Western United States, now decimated after a devastating fourth World War. But long before that, life as we knew it had been irrevocably changed, as women mysteriously lost the ability to bring forth life. Faced with the extinction of the human race, the government began the Council of Creators, meant to search out alternative methods of creating life. The resulting artificial human beings, or Chosen Ones, were extraordinarily beautiful, unbelievably strong, and unabashedly deadly.

Life is bleak, but uncomplicated for Tess as she follows the rigid rules of her dystopian society, until the day she begins work at Templeton, the training facility for newly created Chosen Ones. There, she meets James, a Chosen One whose odd love of music and reading rivals only her own. The attraction between the two is immediate in its intensity—and overwhelming in its danger.

But there is more to the goings-on at Templeton than Tess ever knew, and as the veil is lifted from her eyes, she uncovers a dark underground movement bent not on taking down the Chosen Ones, but the Council itself. Will Tess be able to stand up to those who would oppress her, even if it means giving up the only happiness in her life?

Sounds incredible right? I had never heard of this book and I am so glad I am taking part in the cover reveal for it as it sounds amazing and I cannot wait to read it!
It sounds absolutely incredible and it's definitely high on my Can't Wait For Books 2012.
