I am so damn excited to be on the blog tour for Butterfly Kisses, the second book in the amazing Butterfly Chronicles saga by the phenomenal Mia Castile.
Butterfly Kisses (Butterfly Chronicles #2)
Mia Castile
Published By: Entwined Publishing
Publication Date: October 2012
Genre: YA - Contemporary Romance
From Goodreads:
Everything changed for the Baxter sisters last spring. Lacey blew it with Henry her lifelong crush, only to discover a blooming relationship with her best friend, Chase. While he picked her up and put her back together, they grew closer over the summer. Now that school has started, he’s found popularity thanks to his band Cate’s Ashes, and he’s hiding secret phone calls and text messages. Plus, did his ex-girlfriend just appear out of the blue at his show? Forcing Lacey to wonder if he’s over the feelings he pronounced for her at the beginning of summer. Add to the tension, a realization and secret of her own to keep about her worse enemy. Lacey vows to be the bigger person and keep Byron’s revelation, but what will it cost?
Meanwhile, as Lana tries to find herself again after her suicide attempt, she’s befriended by the school’s resident bad girl, Britt, and new chicano boy, Tomas, in the same week. Britt offers unconditional acceptance that Lana didn’t realize she craved, while Tomas brings out the best in her, and makes her feel alive again. Britt is dangerous and daring, while Tomas exudes security and safety. Vices come easily when you are already addicted to something you crave, and Lana muddles through figuring out who she wants to be.
With their parents constantly arguing, and their dad moving into the guest bedroom, the pressure on the girls may explode destroying them all. Is there a place for happiness when their world is crumbling around them?
Unfortunately due to me crazy busy schedule I have not yet had time to read and review Butterfly Kisses as I had hoped to for this blog tour (sorry guys) but I will have a review of the book up as soon as possible.
In the meantime check out my reviews of Mia's other incredible books (AND GO BUY THEM!)

And now...
Please welcome to the blog, my favourite indie author. The phenomenal Mia Castile
Hi Mia,
Thanks for being here on the blog today.
Kayleigh, thank you so much for having me here and being a part of The Butterfly Kisses Blog Tour.
When did you first discover that you wanted to be a writer?
At a young age I wanted to be a writer. I wrote poetry as a teenager and began writing The Ocean. Then, what ensued was the longest stretch of writer’s block that I’ve ever known. Ten years passed before I began writing again. I wrote Generations first, and finished The Ocean.
Most of your books are in the Contemporary genre. Did you always want to write in this genre?
I think this genre just comes easy to me to write because I enjoy reading contemporary romances. I do enjoy paranormal, and have a few working projects and series coming up in the coming years.
What genre book do you enjoy reading?
Like I said, I really enjoy contemporary romances, but also paranormal and dystopias. I’m contemplating venturing into science fiction, any suggestions?
Do you have any authors that you look up to or that inspire you?
There are so many great authors out there with inspiring lives. If I were to list them it would be a very, very long list. I’m inspired by the author friends I’ve made. Sincerity goes along way with inspiration.
Your book Butterfly Kisses is about to be released. What was the inspiration behind that story?
I think I just didn’t want Lacey and Chase’s story to end. As I near the end of each book (Becoming A Butterfly and Butterfly Kisses) I found myself thinking: OK, what’s next? The surprising thing was that I had an answer. I think the series will be over when I no longer can answer that. Right now a fourth novel is rolling around in my head, but I have to finish The Butterfly Migration first.
How do you feel about unleashing this story into the world?
I’m a nervous wreck. Like every book release, I wonder if it will be received in the way I saw it. It’s my heart on the line. I’m an excited ball of energy too, anxious for the world to welcome it with open arms. I’m dealing with a volatile mix of emotions.
Do you take any personal experiences and adapt them into your writing?
I do. I use conversations I share with loved ones, and I observe people around me where ever I am. . . so much so I’m sure people think I’m a staring stalker creep. But you have to take everything in, there is beauty, humor, and life all around you.
Are there any particular scenes that you enjoy writing more than others?
This is where I waggle my eyebrows and tell you, “Very much so.” I love the fighting scenes, making up scenes, and sweet scenes. I try to fill my books with those moments. Uncomfortable scenes are fun too. Everyone takes a little pleasure in watching someone squirm and wondering how they will get out of said situation.
And finally what can we expect to see from you in the future?
Immediately, in November I’m releasing a stand-alone novella Something More. Then next year Generations 2 and The Butterfly Migration drop.
Getting to Know You – Quick Fire Round
Hardcopy or E-Book? E-book, I love being able to buy a new book and starting it at midnight. I’m kind of an instant gratification kind of girl.
Bookmark or Dog-Ear? Bookmarks. Don’t mess up the print books that I do have.
Book or Movie? Yes please.
Chocolate or Vanilla? Vanilla with chocolate chips.
Summer or Winter? Summer, there’s more stuff to do.
Ice-Cream or Cake? Cake with and/or without icing. It has to be fresh and moist though, otherwise I’ll take Ice-cream.
Coffee or Tea? Hot Green Tea with honey or 3 Truvia packets
Nice guy or bad boy? That depends, in a contemporary romance I’m gonna say nice guy, in a paranormal or fantasy I would say bad boy because he would think outside of the box when things got sticky. Either way, he must be handy, in a fix it sort of way, and well. . .
